What is Ethical Management?

Ethical Management is a management ethos that considers 'corporate ethics' as the top priority in corporate management and activities, and pursues transparent, fair and rational business practices.

Based on the corporate value statement, which is “KECC, a company of happy employees contributing to the world with the best technology”, KECC will grow into a “trusted and respected company” in a rapidly changing economy by pursuing its goal of transparent and sustainable management.

To this end, the Charter of Ethics and the Compliance and Ethical Management Regulations have been enacted as the principles for employees to observe in their work, and through various ethical activities and training, KECC is committed to fulfilling its social responsibilities to stakeholders by raising employees' ethical awareness.

The purpose of practicing ethical management is to enable KECC to become a transparent and reliable company, by further developing the corporate ethics charter and the code of conduct of employees, promoting an understanding of the regulations accordingly, checking whether corporate ethics is being practiced normally within the company, and coordinating the management activities between each department.

The Office of Compliance is responsible for Ethical Management Practice, and its roles and responsibilities are as follows

Reporting Ethics Violations

To establish transparent ethical management, KECC operates a reporting system for unethical conduct.
If you report any unethical conduct related to an employee's practice, we will take proactive measures, and your identity as a reporter will be thoroughly protected.

Accepting Bribes
  • Accepting bribes, such as entertainment, money, and other gifts, from employees and stakeholders
  • Accepting bribes, such as money and other gifts, between employees

Irregularities and Corruption
  • When an employee obtains personal gains or illicitly misappropriates company funds, etc. in the course of performing his/her work
  • When an employee intentionally causes a loss to the company for the purpose of others' benefit

Sexual Harassment/Bullying in the Workplace
  • Acts that leverage one’s position in the workplace to make another person feel sexually humiliated or disgusted through sexual language or sexual demands related to work, etc.
  • An act of using one’s superior position or relationship at work to inflict physical or mental pain on another worker or damage the working environment, beyond the appropriate scope for work.

Abuse of Power against a Person in a Weaker Position (Gapjil)
  • An act in which executives or employees use their superior position in the workplace to engage in violence, including both violent remarks and assault.
  • An act by an executive or employee of using an insulting expression to demean other employees or stakeholders
